GRANDMOMMA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a grandmomma! Bodhi W.K. Pierce was born on Monday, Nov.26, 2007, at 8:49am. He weighed 8 pounds, 3.4 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. He has the blue-est eyes and brown hair which looks a little red under certain light. Ken and I are so proud of our grandchild. Jen and Sean are wonderful parents. Sean was with Jen every step of the way. They were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
You burst with pride at the birth of your own children. Nothing can come close to becoming a grandparent! What a wonderful gift of love. Thank you Jen and Sean.
Praise and thanks to God. I am alive to see Bodhi and hold him. I thank God for answering prayers and all of my friends and family for their love, support, and prayers.

Thanksgiving

I realize I am posting late for Thanksgiving. Things have been hectic, to say the least. Just wanted everyone to know what a wonderful Thanksgiving Ken and I enjoyed. We were blessed to have Kenny, Jen, Sean, not yet born Bodhi, Sean's grandmother Beverly, Jen Wells, and Sandi Shackleford with us. It was a little stressful not knowing if Jen was going into labor at any moment. Sean brought his WI (sp?????) and we laughed and laughed at the mini mi's! What a fun day. No greater gift than being with family and friends, who are a part of our family.

Christmas Lights

Have I mentioned that our son, Kenny is Mr. Christmas? !! He decorates with lights and has them choreographed to music. He has even done programming for a company. Last year his light show was spectacular. This year, it is going to be even bigger. I can't wait to see this year's show. There will be around 31,000 lights dancing in our yard and on the house this year!! Come by to see the beautiful show!!!! Will let you know when the show is ready!!!!

Anxiety

Bodhi has not arrived yet. Never thought a grandmother-to-be would be so anxious. It is difficult to go to sleep, wondering if the phone is going to ring with Jen in labor. I think I was much more calm when I was expecting. Jen's tummy grows by the minute. I feel like a nervous wreck. Am soooooooooo excited to see Bodhi.

test results

Monday was a nerve-wracking day. I had to go to Florence to get a treatment and see my doctor. Jen , my daughter, is literally due any minute with our first grandchild. Would she go into labor while we were gone? She was so sweet to call and say she felt good and did not think she would go into labor. A mom still worries. Made it home and she was fine. No baby yet.

The good news is my test results. The muga heart test was good. The chest CT scan was good. Best news ever..........the liver MRI showed only scar tissue!!!!!!!!!! not even the 2 cm tumor that was there 3 months ago!!!!!!! Blessings from God I cherish and am ever thankful for. It's like a new lease on life. Now,.......... if I can only begin to lose some weight!!!!
